SOLAR ENERGY
RENEWABLE SOURCE OF ENERGY
The UAE has one of the highest sun exposure rates in the world, giving it a high potential for renewable energy development. The renewable energy has emerged as an attractive option for UAE since Sunlight is an abundant with the country receiving an average of ten hours a day for 350 days a year.
The Clean Energy Strategy 2050, launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the U.A.E. and Ruler of Dubai, foresees to provide 7 percent of Dubai’s total power output from clean energy sources by 2020, 25 percent by 2030, and 75 percent by 2050.
At Maple we support the concept of clean energy strategy to produce sustainable clean energy to reduce the environmental impact of conventional energy sources. We support clients with our expertise in technical advisory and engineering services to help clients from planning to execution of high-performance solar projects.
A professional design and engineering solution is vital to get the maximum efficiency of your solar energy investments. Before design stage, our designers conducting an actual site visit to check the best solar PV system for your project based on site condition to get the best out of solar panels.
Our structural engineers provide structural stress analysis to control the effect of additional stress on existing buildings.
For solar energy development, different permits are required to authorize the project. Process of obtaining permits is time consuming and requires contacting different responsible authorities. We obtain all necessary permits from local authorities in a short time due to our experiences.
For our recent projects in Dubai, building permit was issued in less than a week from date of submission.
A part of our services is to help you plan your complete renewable energy project from the early development stages to secure financial solutions. We ensure you get the most from your investment in the long term to generate sustainable, clean and reliable energy.
We Provide EPC contracts for the benefit of our clients by assigning professional contractors in this field to complete the projects on time.
Ground mount is economic and durable framing system that mounts right to the ground and designed to hold a specific number of solar panels. This option is valid if plenty of land is available and trees aren’t an issue. The major benefit of this system is that panels are accessible for maintenance and cleaning and no worry of stressing existing roof structure.
But, ground mounts usually hold PV panels at a fixed angle all year round which means they won’t run at full efficiency. However, some panels have an angle adjustment system allowing to get the optimal angle for gathering max sunlight throughout the year.
Pole mount is a durable system built to hold a set of solar panels mounted up on top of a single pole. A single well installed pole is capable of holding plenty of solar panels.
They are some benefits such as Pole mounts take up less ground space than ground mounts. it’s much less obtrusive than a full frame spread out over a large area of the plot and will likely put the panels six or more feet up in the air and let you maintain that ground space.
Also to avoid unnecessary stress on roof structural system and reduce the risk of climbing onto roof while panels are still up high enough to avoid potential shade from trees.
The most common type of solar panel mounts seen and recommended are roof mounts. These mounts are desirable for many systems because they keep the panels up and out of the way, which is also the most common spot for optimal sunlight.
They surprisingly affordable, since they can often and easily be flat mounted to the roof. This is because most rooftops already provide the angle necessary to gather sunlight effectively.
Since the mounts themselves are pretty affordable, installation cost will be less as well. That’s because the installer has to climb up on the roof and attach them without disturbing the existing roofing that’s already in place.
This is one of the best ways to add solar PV to a property without affecting plot covered area and at the same time provide a sheltered place for vehicles.
This system is especially useful when the main roof spaces of a property are unsuitable for rooftop system or if the plot area is limited. Also, orientation can be selected in the way that optimal exposure to the sun be provided and they can be positioned to avoid any risk of panel shading. It has benefit of last systems at the same time. Maximum exposure to the sun, and stand alone structures with the benefit of having clean energy generated shades cars.
